A stunning all inclusive resort in a ski in/out location with a swimming pool

The Club Med ski hotel in Alpe d’Huez was the welcome beneficiary of a top to bottom refurbishment a couple of years ago. The result is a stunning modern hotel in a phenomenal location. As with most Club Med ski hotels these days, it’s ski in/out however the Alpe d’Huez one also has a convenient location to explore the resort of the resort and that’s quite rare these days.

The biggest improvement was to the leisure facilities, the new pool and spa area is enormous and includes a lovely pool with views over the valley.

At Club Med, the food is almost as important as the skiing. The Pic Blanc is the main restaurant area and it boasts some jaw dropping mountain views which seem to make the food taste just a little bit better! There are choices from cuisines from all over the world that are different every day.

Les Alpages is the a la carte restaurant, whilst still included in the price, it does need to be booked using the Club Med app or by contacting reception. Les Alpages serves a more locally inspired menu, think raclettes, fondues and anything cheesy!

One of our top family destinations, a relatively short transfer, great ski area for all abilities and a ski school outside the boot room door. It frankly just doesn’t get any easier than this.
