Montgenevre

The ski area is excellent and boasts 400km of skiing, although the Milky Way is not as well linked as the likes of the 3 Valleys and Espace Killy. If you do want to explore all the main areas, you will have to take a bus from time to time.

BEGINNERS:

The resort is a fantastic choice for learner skiers thanks to a good selection of green slopes in and around the resort level. There are also some gentle blues that offer progression.

INTERMEDIATES:

Montgenevre itself has a small selection of reds so intermediates tend to like exploring the rest of the Milky Way. Just over the valley, Claviere has a better selection for intermediates.

EXPERTS:

In terms of pistes, Montgenevre doesn’t offer a huge amount of challenging pistes. What it DOES offer is some incredible off-piste. Because the ski area attracts mostly families and beginners, this means that the off piste is generally still in good condition even a week after the snow fall.

Montgenevre doesn’t have masses to offer but there are some good options for a few drinks after the skiing is done or even popping into town after dinner. Les Rois Mages and Le Graal are the best bars in this quiet resort. There is also a nightclub, Le Blue Night.
