Looking for a good ski deal for this season?
Here at Alpenglow HQ, we are receiving lots of enquiries from clients looking for some last minute skiing options for the end of February and mid-March dates. Dates which have traditionally offered super prices as they are outside of school holidays and towards the end of the season.
This season, thanks to the record breaking snowfall, the demand is so high that these deals seem unlikely. Operators are able to fill their chalets that their set brochure prices and lots of skiers are having to stump up more than they have paid in the past or face missing out on the snow!
There is a strange dynamic just starting to reveal itself though. The 24/25th March is a school holiday date for some schools and as such, most of the tour operators priced it as a peak week. However, the amount of schools breaking up early seems to have been over estimated. As such, these peak priced holidays haven’t sold and the result is some really good offers for the 24th and 25th March dates.
We are suggesting to our clients that although it may be a bit later in the season than they’ve wanted to consider, the savings are so good that it’s really worth looking that. Pair that with the fact that there has been so much snow this season that it’s not as much of a risk this year as it has been in previous bad snow seasons.
There are also some great prices to be had for the traditional Easter weeks, so even if you need to wait for school holidays before you go skiing, fear not, there are some great options for you.
