Engelberg is a town first and a ski resort second and therein lies it’s beauty. It has good transport links resulting in a quick transfer from nearby Zurich airport and also has range of shops, bars and restaurants too. Whilst the skiing is generally accessed by resort bus from hotel to lift, we feel its a small compromise to make for the value for money the hotels offer in comparison to other Swiss resorts.

Saas Fee is an idyllic mountain village that offers year-round skiing thanks to it’s glacier. It’s a great option for beginners with high altitude nursery slopes guaranteeing great snow.

Verbier is located in the 4 Vallees ski area in Switzerland, a 2 hour drive from Geneva airport. The resort has a reputation of a “ski hard, party hard” destination and it’s a reputation that is well deserved.

Zermatt is home to arguably the most iconic mountain views in the world, the Matterhorn. The resort itself is a glitzy and glamorous affair with a real cosmopolitan feel. It is one of the few resorts that manages to combine high altitude skiing and a pretty resort village.
